Teaching House Stratford upon Avon is ideally situated in the heart of the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, famous for being the birthplace of Shakespeare and one of the top tourist destinations in the UK. The college enjoys a picturesque riverside location and provides English language courses for students who come from all over the world. Our English language courses are accredited by the British Council and the College is also a member of English UK.
Facilities include:

- All trainees have access to computer, printing and photocopy facilities
- Course fees include lifetime membership of the Oxford House Club
In addition, internationally renowned speakers from the ELT world come to our London College bi-monthly to give participative and practical sessions on a wide variety of ELT-related topics. Previous speakers have included Michael Swan, Mike McCarthy, Jeremy Harmer and Susan Kay.

In order to best serve our community we have scheduled our online classes across three major time zones to serve:
- The East Coast USA/Canada: Eastern Standard Time/Eastern Daylight Time
- The West Coast USA/Canada: Pacific Standard Time/Pacific Daylight Time
- The United Kingdom and Europe: GMT/British Summer Time
Online
All our online Celta course dates run simultaneously in The East Coast USA, West Coast USA and UK time zones. Simply indicate your time zone of preference in the application form and you will be enrolled in the cohort of your desired time zone.

*Please note that the schedules listed are the live class times only. An additional 80-100 hours (approx.) per course will be required for lesson planning, assignments and record keeping. For part-time courses, theory and methodology content is also delivered asynchronously (approximately 45 additional hours per course).
Sample Course Schedule
Teaching House Stratford-upon-Avon CELTA courses are offered in two modes, full-time and part-time.
The full-time CELTA course lasts 4 weeks, with an assessment in the fourth week. The courses usually run from 10:15 to 18:30, Monday to Friday. In the busy summer months we operate 12:00-20:00.
Part-time CELTA courses take place over 13 weeks, with an assessment towards the end of the course. The courses usually run from 18.30 – 21.30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, along with six sessions at 10.30-16.00 on alternate Saturdays.
What are the accomodation options?
For trainees not based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Teaching House Stratford-upon-Avon works with local providers to offer a range of accommodation options. All prices are per week. There is also £65.00 accommodation placement fee.
Homestay:
In our carefully selected homestay accommodation will feel at home and be able to get on with your course work in friendly surroundings. You will have your own room, and half-board meals are provided. All accommodation is local to the school and there is no need to pay extra for additional travel cards.
