A Teaching House CELTA graduate herself, Kimberly brings a unique perspective to her work as Director of Enrollment, and is excited to be a part of its growing community.
After spending the first 20 years of her life residing in Ohio, the “Birthplace of Aviation,” Kimberly decided to fly away herself, and spent several months studying and traveling in northern India and Nepal for her senior honors thesis. She received her B.A. in Comparative Religious Studies at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
Following graduation, Kimberly left home again to teach English to primary and secondary school students in a private academy in South Korea. After sampling the incredible cultural and culinary fare of China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, she returned to the States ready for another journey, and found plenty of adventure and opportunity in New York City.
While Kimberly misses traveling, she enjoys living in Brooklyn and spending time with family and friends. She plans on staying in New York City until she is no longer able to stand the long winters. In the meantime, she is happy to help people who want to travel and teach achieve their dreams by taking the CELTA course.
