TEACH ENGLISH ABROAD
In choosing to do the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching for Adults), you open up the doors to any country you could dream of working in.
At Teaching House alone, staff and trainees have worked in urban and rural locations all over Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Georgia, Hong Kong, Qatar, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sudan, the UK and the USA, just to name a few. And having enjoyed a variety of teaching and traveling experiences so far, we are more than happy to share our knowledge and experiences with trainees and offer suggestions and resources to those who are interested in working in a particular part of the world.
With English fast becoming a requirement for anyone looking to succeed in today’s growing international market, the demand for English teachers is growing rapidly in countries all over the world, both rich and poor, to educate children, adults and professionals in public schools, international schools, private language schools, businesses, corporate training centers, universities, non-profit organizations, refugee camps and even in private homes.
Not only can you help individuals across the globe achieve their dreams by helping them to learn English, but you can also fulfill your own dreams by traveling to and working in some of the many places around the world that are seeking open-minded, adventurous English teachers like you. And, from experience, we at Teaching House know the best way to really get to know a country, city or culture in depth is to work with and teach the people of that country. Through continuous interaction with your students, your students will not only learn about the cultures and places where you have lived, but you will also have absorbed more about the language, religion, food, idiosyncrasies and customs of the country where you teach than you could ever have picked up from a guide book or a two-week vacation.
There is no exchange program out there that can offer you the kinds of experiences that you will have with your students in the classroom. So, go ahead, take those first steps towards teaching where you want to teach! We’re here to indulge your dreams.
