This is an exciting time in your life: you’ve made the decision to teach and travel abroad. Teaching House Portland is located in the heart of downtown Portland. Public transit options are only 2 blocks away, and there is ample long-term metered parking in the area. Trainees have access to newly refurbished classrooms, a library, kitchenette.

In order to best serve our community we have scheduled our online classes across three major time zones to serve:
- The East Coast USA/Canada: Eastern Standard Time/Eastern Daylight Time
- The West Coast USA/Canada: Pacific Standard Time/Pacific Daylight Time
- The United Kingdom and Europe: GMT/British Summer Time

Most of our online Celta course dates run simultaneously in The East Coast USA, West Coast USA and UK time zones. Simply indicate your time zone of preference in the application form and you will be enrolled in the cohort of your desired time zone.

*Please note that the schedules listed are the live class times only. An additional 80-100 hours (approx.) per course will be required for lesson planning, assignments and record keeping. For part-time courses, theory and methodology content is also delivered asynchronously (approximately 45 additional hours per course).
Who are my trainers?
Teaching House trainers are all experienced teacher trainers with a minimum of five years varied ELT experience in a wide range of contexts.
All have completed either Masters level or Delta qualifications and are active members of the global TEFL community. Many of our trainers have spent significant time teaching and training abroad. You can read about us and our trainer stories here
